Acne Moisturizer

A light formulation that helps to moisturize the skin for acne fighting protection. The following key ingredients are natural in origin.

Below is a sampling of some of the key ingredients that have been used in formulating our Acne Moisturizer. (We will work with you to formulate your own unique product if you desire certain other ingredients.)

Tea Tree Oil contains constituents called terpenoids, which have been found to have antiseptic and antifungal activity. Tea tree oil is a natural antifungal, antibacterial, antiviral, and anti-infection oil.

Licorice extract (Glycyrrhiza inflata)

• A sebum regulator that can be compared to the activity of Benzoyl Peroxide. Sebum is an oily substance secreted by the sebaceous glands of the skin.
• Kills Propionibacterium Acnes bacteria where Benzoyl Peroxide does not.
• Blocks androgen activity of the sebaceous gland’s overproduction of sebum resulting in acne.
• Inhibits lipase enzyme activity produced by bacteria on the skin’s surface and in pores thereby decreasing inflammation.
• Inhibitory Action of Allergic and Inflammatory Response.
• Suppressant Action of Oxidative Damage.

Copaifera officinalis (balsam copaiba) resin, carapa guaianensis seed oil, euterpe oleracea pulp oil - These constituents were extracted from natural products from the rain forest and were chosen because of their special properties for healthy skin that include:

• Powerful natural antioxidants that provide protection against enviromental damage to the skin
• Anti-inflammatory action and calming effect
• Germicide obtained from the essential oil and is excellent for preventing infections.

Olea Europaea (Olive) Leaf Extract is a 100% naturally derived ingredient from the olive leaf. The idea of looking for new actives in the olive tree derives from the observation that the olive tree not only is one of the most ancient plants in the world, but it is not attacked by diseases; long living, it is protected by a wide range of substances contained in many parts of the plant, but mainly in the leaves.
Some of its characteristics that are proving useful in acne products are:

• Antioxidant and antimicrobial
• Anti-irritant
• Anti-inflammation – reduces the inflammation of acne.
• Its activity helps in inhibiting bacterial growth of a wide range of bacteria while still having a complete natural origin and absolute non toxicity.

Glucosamine HCL & Algae Extract & Yeast Extract & Urea is a unique natural exfoliating complex which can activate both epidermal and dermal cells resulting in improved cell renewal. It also increases production of hyaluronic acid and collagen. Clinical tests have shown that mature skin group (average age 67 years) using this complex achieved a comparable skin renewal rate to the young adult group (average age 29 years) with untreated skin.
